Two actors from Malayalam films, Sunil and Bhavana, make their debut in Tamil in 'Chithiram Pesuthadi', directed by debutant Mishkin, who apprenticed with directors like Vincent Selva and Kathir.
Sunil, after completing a course in cinematography from the film institute in Chennai, had apprenticed with Rajeev Menon but turned to acting when he got his first break in the Adoor Gopalakrishnan-directed Malayalam film 'Nizhalkuthu'.
With a total of four films to his credit, including the two big hits '4 The People' and 'Achuvinte Amma', Sunil get shis first break in Tamil. Bhavana is a fast-rising actress in Malayalam films having at least a dozen films to her credit. "It's my first action film as hero," says Sunil.
Produced by Dreambridge Production (P) Ltd., Chithiram Pesuthadi story centres on the underworld, a don and his dreaded henchman, and the henchman's lady love. While 'Kadhal' Dandapani plays the don, Sunil plays Thiru, the henchman.
The supporting cast has 'Pithamagan' Mahadevan, Ravi Prakash, Madan, Ajayan Bala, Singara Sukumaran, Asmi and Sangita. Malavika has been roped in for an item number.
The technical crew too include some freshers. Wielding the camera is Mahesh Muthusamy who has worked with P C Sriram and is from the Pune Film Institute. The film's music is by Sunderbabu, son of Veenai Chittibabu, and stunt choreography by Action Prakash, son of stunt master Somu.
Art director Sabu Cyril's assitant. A Amaran designs the sets, and Shobi Paulraj choreographs the dances. The film has editing by Kasi Viswanathan.
The film, scripted and directed by Mishkin, is hot at locations in Chennai. Goa, Kudremukh and Mangalore.
